Inauguration 2013

 Hello everyone... Hope all is well. Here in Pa is about 8 degrees... Very cold..Freezing like temperatures.
If you stand outside for more than minutes at a time you can get frost bite. That's how cold it is.


I, like most people ,watch the Inauguration of President Obama...

It was a wonderful thing to watch the Inauguration of a President. I was excited to see the performances and to see all the people that have come out to support such an event.

It was such a nice to see the Inauguration taking place on Dr. Martin Luther King's Day....It shows how far this country has come and all that was sacrifice for the opportunities that are possible because of such courage........ We thank all those that marched and put their lives on the line for equality.

The beautiful and talented Kelly Clarkson sang her song although it might have been so cold... We thank her.

And embarrassed by Beyonce and her lip-synching of our star spangled banner...

I know that not always you will be at your best but the thing is when you choose to be a singer as your career and that is what you are paid to do, then do your job. Regardless if you mess up. We are willing to forgive and understand someone messing up at their job because we do it all the time than to be deceived by one we trust. I had always thought of her as a talented young woman that need not to exploit herself with all the sexuality that she promotes within her videos.A true musician that loves music would listen and not see. It is hard to take her seriously as a role model for young aspiring singers or other young women of today. We do not want to teach our children that you have to be any other than yourself and that our best is always good enough.......

A tribute to the King...

Martin Luther King, Jr., (January 15, 1929-April 4, 1968) was born Michael Luther King, Jr., but later had his name changed to Martin. His grandfather began the family's long tenure as pastors of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, serving from 1914 to 1931; his father has served from then until the present, and from 1960 until his death Martin Luther acted as co-pastor. Martin Luther attended segregated public schools in Georgia, graduating from high school at the age of fifteen; he received the B. A. degree in 1948 from Morehouse College, a distinguished Negro institution of Atlanta from which both his father and grandfather had graduated. After three years of theological study at Crozer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania where he was elected president of a predominantly white senior class, he was awarded the B.D. in 1951. With a fellowship won at Crozer, he enrolled ingraduate studies at Boston University, completing his residence for the doctorate in 1953 and receiving the degree in 1955. In Boston he met and married Coretta Scott, a young woman of uncommon intellectual and artistic attainments. Two sons and two daughters were born into the family.

In 1954, Martin Luther King became pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Always a strong worker for civil rights for members of his race, King was, by this time, a member of the executive committee of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the leading organization of its kind in the nation. He was ready, then, early in December, 1955, to accept the leadership of the first great Negro nonviolent demonstration of contemporary times in the United States, the bus boycott described by Gunnar Jahn in his presentation speech in honor of the laureate. The boycott lasted 382 days. On December 21, 1956, after the Supreme Court of the United States had declared unconstitutional the laws requiring segregation on buses, Negroes and whites rode the buses as equals. During these days of boycott, King was arrested, his home was bombed, he was subjected to personal abuse, but at the same time he emerged as a Negro leader of the first rank.

In 1957 he was elected president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, an organization formed to provide new leadership for the now burgeoning civil rights movement. The ideals for this organization he took from Christianity; its operational techniques from Gandhi. In the eleven-year period between 1957 and 1968, King traveled over six million miles and spoke over twenty-five hundred times, appearing wherever there was injustice, protest, and action; and meanwhile he wrote five books as well as numerous articles. In these years, he led a massive protest in Birmingham, Alabama, that caught the attention of the entire world, providing what he called a coalition of conscience. and inspiring his "Letter from a Birmingham Jail", a manifesto of the Negro revolution; he planned the drives in Alabama for the registration of Negroes as voters; he directed the peaceful march on Washington, D.C., of 250,000 people to whom he delivered his address, "l Have a Dream", he conferred with President John F. Kennedy and campaigned for President Lyndon B. Johnson; he was arrested upwards of twenty times and assaulted at least four times; he was awarded five honorary degrees; was named Man of the Year by Time magazine in 1963; and became not only the symbolic leader of American blacks but also a world figure.

At the age of thirty-five, Martin Luther King, Jr., was the youngest man to have received the Nobel Peace Prize. When notified of his selection, he announced that he would turn over the prize money of $54,123 to the furtherance of the civil rights movement.

On the evening of April 4, 1968, while standing on the balcony of his motel room in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was to lead a protest march in sympathy with striking garbage workers of that city, he was assassinated.

Good morning everyone...
           It's good to wake up this morning and thank the Lord for another day... Some of us did not make it past last night, so having another day in this world is a blessing to me. Although i'm in so much pain.
The muscle around my neck and shoulder is throbbing. I thought I just slept wrong but I was so mistaken. This would be my fourth day feeling that pain. Nonetheless its another day.

         I'm excited to see the inauguration today. Also happy Dr. Martin Luther King day. Not a lot of people realize that this man not only change history for american negro but all of us that are classified as minority's.There are so many things that I can blog about but I will be here all week.... Not that he doesn't deserve it.

         It's around 20 degrees here in Pennsylvania.. Not as cold as we would expect it to be around this time of year. I guess I am grateful for that . The cold and I are not good friends. I'm just recovering from the flu- like symptoms I have had the last two weeks.
       Congrats. to the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers in a great fight for the superbowl...
  I'm in the east coast so I would be cheering for the Ravens...but good luck to both teams.. It truly doesn't matter what team wins because my team is out.. My poor Jets just cant get it right. But better luck next time.
      I hope that your day is full of joy and prosperity today and have a good day off from work or just enjoy your children home from school another day....

Hello Friends...........

    A New Year is how I should start. So much has already happened but, glad to have seen the old year past us by....

    God bless everyone. That's first on my list. I haven't blogged in months. So much has go on that I guess i'll give you a quick rundown...
       On October I went to Ecuador.... I had went as an emergency trip to see my mother due to the fact that she had been sick with heart issues. I had not been to Ecuador since I was 13 years of age. I'm 39 right now so it's been a long long time. Spend a week and my mom has been taking some meds. to keep her cholesterol down and her blood pressure. I got to see my whole family. I have not seen in years... It was such a great feeling that this year in March I plan to take my younger kids. I think this trip they would appreciate.
         In December of this year I lost my Aunt. She was like my second mother. I was raised by her. It had been such a devastating death to us (not that any death isn't) but we just had no clue it was her time. My aunt was never sick, had not been sick or had complained that she was sick. It was just her time. It was like God decided that she was done and took her batteries out and she just stop. This was such a comfort for us because she never suffered. She died in peace in her home. One moment she was here with us and in hours she left to be with our heavenly father..
         As a result of my aunt's passing my family and I have grown closer. We had not really spoke in years. It's really sad that this type of things is what we have to go through as a family to mature. Next week is my son's birthday. I decided that I will be cutting a cake and invited my family . They all accepted the invitation and will be here for the first time since I purchased my home in 8 years next week..... Wish me luck

   I pray that everyones morning is great. Think about this. You woke up. You are honor with another day. So many of us are not going to be waking up so you should feel honor that the Lord has chosen you today..
  My little grandaughter is growing up. She has started school. Its only headstart but the fact that she has started is such a great thing for us..  I am so proud of my eldest daughter.. She is taking good care of her. I will never say that to her though. It will swell her head.

Still living...

Good morning to all. Iy has been so long since I have had a post..  so much has gone by. First let me start by saying God is so good all the time. I am a living witness of that.
  Summer was beautiful. Very hot. We were able to squeeze a family trip to Myrtle beach. My grandchildren went and all my kids. My son graduated this year from high school and just yesterday was his first day of college. Im so proud of him..
We had kept my eldest grandaughter for a month. She lives in Virginia so I don't get to see her often.
    I have not felt quite so good this month. When people say that the closer you try to do right thing and search God the more adversaries come your way.  This is so true. It has felt that no matter what I try to do, there is something pulling me back down. I am a woman of a lot of faith and even though I question things a lot i know that all the good things in my life come from my heavenly father.
I have been feeling lots of pain on my right side so i went to the Dr. and they ran some tests to see what was causing this horrible pain. I prayed so hard and even though I still have a lot of pain on the side , there was nothing on my test results that would indicate anything was wrong. The Dr. was shock because she thought for sure that I had to remove my appendix and even worst my kidneys... but I am a child of the living God Jesus and because I called on his name for healing I know there was nothing to worry about...
   Thank you to all for being there listening to me as I blab but just wanted to share this with someone..

     Hello eveyone... Hope your day was full of blessings and good health besides all the turmoil you might have endure. The picture above is were I am going with my family this year for vacation.Myrtle Beach here we come. We will be leaving on June 21, and I just can't wait. It has been a long year and so much has happened. We deserve to treat ourselves. This is a much needed time off. Just looking at this picture, I am already relaxed.

  This is the water side. Just anxious. It's kind of like our son graduating and father's day and my middle daughter turning 21"s birthday bash that we will be celebrating down there. Ill show pics next week after we get back.
     Keep us in your prayers as we do for you and may God keep blessing you now and always.....

Today I celebrate a big crossroad in my son's life. He graduated high school. He got his diploma. I am so proud. I can not even explain it. He was the last of mt children to graduate. God has truly blessed me
I am so overjoyed.

Home sweet home...

   Good morning all. Hope that this morning finds you uplifted and thankful next to your love ones. Given honor and glory to my heavenly father for a beautiful morning and thanking him for his love and mercy. Thanks for the safe return of my daughter and grandaughter , whom flew back home yesterday from there vacation...
      I am so happy to see my grandaughter . She was in Florida on vacation and I was missing her so bad. But now she is here. Yeahhhh
      Since I last blog, so many things have happen. My son is graduating this Saturday. I am very proud of him. He has truly been a good kid. He has worked hard to make it and I am so grateful that my father up above has blessed me with such a
wonderful kid.
          My middle daughter whom is in college in St. Johns , received a paid intership from a reporter from cnn... I was so extremely excited for her. She has studied really hard and made such a great sacrifice to stay in school. You see we live in Pennsylvania and her college is in New York. She stays with my sister and shares a bed. She also works as an assistant store marketing coordinator for Dkny .....
She comes home on the weekends .

              

Hello again....

                     It has been months since I have written in my blog. So much to talk about.
                    Let me start by giving thanks to my heavenly father for keeping me under his grace and mercy all the time. I am truly one blessed child...
              I am so greatful for so many things that truly I am overwhelmed...I heard this the other day , once you are in Gods presence you have to accept it, acknowledge it and honor it....
            Very strong words and had me thinking, how we do not acknowledge the things that we have. Stop being so envious of everything else. I will admit I am one of those who wish I had the things other people have, but what I forget is what their struggles are.... Easy to want someone elses life but not realize the good comes with the bad.

   Well my grandbaby is visiting Florida.. She is celebrating her 3rd birthday over there. I miss her so much. I am glad that she is having fun. My other grandaughter is 5 and she graduate from kindergarten this year.... I am so proud of her..  and last but not least my grandson is going to be 3 months old.. time is flying by. My son whom is 18 graduates next week from high school. Now college...yeahhh

Sadness and Joy

Hello to all my blogger brothers and sisters... I pray today life finds you full of health and wellness.....
  It has been over a month since I have last blog. So much has happen.
First let me start by saying that life  is so short. I know this sounds like a cliche but, it is so true....
 This month has been full of surprises for me and my family..
On my  last post,  I had went to Virginia in anticipation that my daughter would be giving birth, but nothing happened. She was hospitalized for a few days.. I had to come back home. On March 14, 2012 she finally had a son. So we instantly became grandparents to a healthy baby boy,,, Jaziah Antonio is his name...( pics will come at a later time ). We have been so delighted and blessed. We currently have two granddaughters. Kamari 5 and Je'Nelle 2.....Now we have the boy to complete our family..

Easter vacation we had our eldest grandaughter and our niece... It was our niece's first trip by herself... I also kept my youngest grandbaby so they were all together and had a ball. All my little princesses..
For Easter we had  a egghunt and gave them baskets and we played for a while outside. It was a beautiful day... I will post some pictures of all this when I get my pictures uploaded...

Last week I discovered that my only son whom is 18 years old, sings and plays the guitar... I went to a coffee house concert that the school he attends was hosting for them.... I was so shock to see him and of course I started crying......

Yesterday morning I received a phone call... My friend was screaming and crying so much I could not hear what she was saying. Later I found out her husband had past. He was only 44 years old. Tall and big guy but not overweight.. He was our friend. My husband and him were close. He was almost like family... I should say he was family because when you are a christian and your father is Lord then we automatically become brothers and sisters in christ .... This news is so out of place for us. No one ever expected this. So I plead with you to live life to the fullest. Enjoy all God has put on this earth for you. Enjoy the grace and mercy Jesus has given you when he died on the cross for us.........

Reuniting the grandkids

 Well hello,,,
       I hope all is well in your lake of the woods. This weekend I went to Virginia with my husband and my youngest grandaughter, Je'nelle. We had hope that while we were visiting our daughter would have gave birth to our grandson since, she was in the hospital all weekend long with labor pains but , the baby was just not ready to make his way to this earth. We manage to pick up our oldest grandaughter , Kamari, and kept her with us. Needless to say how exicted my youngest grandaughter was to see her cousin.

Jenelle is not use to having all her cousins around her. She is an only child and all my nieces and nephews live in between New york and Virginia. This was very special to her and to be able to spend a weekend with her them meant so much to her. 

My original visit was to go to my grandma's gravsite. As you may or may not know, my grandma had past a few months back. I decided that I would go and visit her gravesite. It was a bit rough but , I believe that we will all meet again one day and I know she is better off than she was here. No more pain or suffering... Just peaceful sleep until our time to rise up...

Hopefully the next time I write , I would have a new edition to our family...

I want to start my blog as I always do by thanking my heavenly father for all he is and in the name of Jesus I want to pray for all those states that are being affected by these storms... I want prayer for these surviving family members that not only do they need to put their homes and lives back together but also have to mourn the lost of their love ones....
    I saw in the news that a little girl they found lost her life today... Her family had died in their mobile home. I would like to believe that she has went up to heaven and join the rest of her siblings....

   I ask myself what is in my heart today. There is so much sadness around the world today , you can help but be sad . I have always try to find the good in a tragedy but, this is a bit much....I found this so I thought I share..

Many of us have been taught that we cannot trust our hearts. We quote verses like “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked…” (Jeremiah 17:9), not knowing that Jeremiah was referring to the man who had not received Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
But the desire comes from my heart. How do I know if it is of God?”
My friend, once you are saved, you have a brand new heart (Ezekiel 36:26), and you can trust the promptings of your heart because God dwells in you and He leads you from within. And don’t worry because His promptings will never contradict His Word. It will lead you to good success.
Often, you find that when you follow your inner promptings, it is actually God who has put those desires in your mind and written them on your heart. I remember years ago when I approached one of our church leaders and told him, “I really think that you are called to be a full-time pastor.” It turned out to be a confirmation of what he already knew on the inside. You see, God was already leading him from within. Today, he is one of our full-time pastors.

If you enjoy something and desire to do it, then go for it! Go with the flow. God Himself says that He will guide us from within. Let’s not doubt Him. And don’t worry about the outcome. Your part is just to follow the flow. God’s part is to work in you both the willingness and the performance of it! (Philippians 2:13)
Beloved, because God has given you a new heart, He will write His desires on it. And as you fulfill these desires, you will bring forth fruit, and not wither and die. Whatever you do will prosper!


It's been quite a while since I have read my town's paper... I found a joke I wanted to share....
                       "Haircut"

A young boy had just gotten his driver's license and inquired of his mother, an evangelist , if they could discuss the use of the car.
His mother said, " I'll make a deal with you. You bring your grades up from C to a B average, study your Bible a little, get your hair cut and we'll talk about the car."

Well, the boy thought about that for a moment , decided that he'd settle for the offer and they agreed on it.
After about six weeks, they went into the study, where his mother said, " Son I've been real proud . You've brought your grades up and I've observed that you have been studying your Bible and participating a lot more in the Bible study groups. However, I'm disappointed since you haven't gotten your hair cut. "

The young man paused a moment and then said, "You know, Mom, I've been thinking about that. I've noticed in my studies of the Bible that Samson had long hair, John the Baptist had long hair, Moses had long hair and there's even a strong argument that Jesus had long hair also."

To this, his mother replied, " Did you also notice that they walked everywhere they went?"

Exodus 13:21
21And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night.

When the children of Israel were wandering in the desert, God led them by going before them in a pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night.

By day, God spread the pillar of cloud as a covering over His people in the desert to prevent the scorching sun from striking them down. The people were shaded and kept cool. Today, you are also under His covering. He will not allow you to be struck down (Psalm 121:3–8), nor be oppressed by the “heat” of the day. (Isaiah 54:14)

At night, when the desert became dark and cold, God gave His people the pillar of fire to light the way for them, as well as to keep them warm and safe. Today, as you walk with God, you will not be overwhelmed by the cold, dark places in life because God’s Word says, “You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.” (1 Thessalonians 5:5) You will not fear the terror by night or the pestilence that walks in darkness because God will deliver you from them. (Psalm 91:5–6)

Like the children of Israel, who only needed to look up, and keep their eyes on the pillar of cloud and the pillar of fire, all you need to do today is to look up and keep your eyes on Jesus. When you need His direction for a situation, look to Jesus who has the words of eternal life. (John 6:68) When you see symptoms of sickness in your body, look to Jesus who has borne away every disease and physical affliction. (Matthew 8:17)

When the children of Israel were bitten by serpents in the desert, God told Moses to make a bronze serpent and put it on a pole — a picture of Christ being judged on the cross. (John 3:14) Those who looked at the bronze serpent instead of their wounds were healed. (Numbers 21:9) He who looks to Jesus lives!

Beloved, look to Jesus. He is your covering, protection and deliverance!

        As I read this I was thinking of all the things that has happen around the world.. All these tornadoes and storms... I can only pray and ask God to cover those people that were effected by such tragedies..I ask that if you have time while you pray for you and your family that you add a little prayer for them who suffer more..
      

It's our Anniversary.....

  Hello everyone. I want to thank my heavenly father for another wonderful day on this earth....

Guess what... It's our Anniversary... 18 years.. 

Here we are at Mt. Airy Casino and Resort. Gorgeous place...

We really enjoyed ourselves...

 Many years ago, I met my husband and never in a million years did I think that I would be so blessed to have shared so many different memories with him. We always measure blessings in the things that we have and the things we feel accomplished but the reality is that my biggest blessing was sharing my life with a man who is father to my children, friend to me and my roommate at home.. I thank the Lord everyday for giving me a partner that has been able to be there for me through the good and has been there for the bad. That is one of my biggest gift from God. And with this man I was able to receive my other gifts , my family. I have 3 beautiful daughters and 1 son. We have 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson on the way...

What else can I so selfishly ask for...

There is a song that says:

 " I had some good days, I've had some hills to climb,

 I've had some weary days and some sleepless nights, 

but when I , when I look around and I think things over, 

some of my good days out weigh my bad days and I ,

I wont complain...

sometimes the clouds hang low, I can hardly see the road,

I ask a question Lord, why so much pain,

but he knows whats best for me 

although my weary eyes, they cant see

so I just say thank you Lord, Thank you Lord,

 I won't complain.."

Today on a spiritual note, I heard an inspirational sermon from Pastor Joseph Prince, I thought I shared....

Convince Yourself, Not God Mark 5:28 28For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” With a crowd thronging Him, Jesus was touched by a lot of people that day (Mark 5:31), but only the touch of one woman drew a response from Him. And her touch sparked off instant healing in her body, releasing her from a sickness that had plagued her for 12 years. Do you want to know how to touch God and receive the miracle you need? When the woman heard that Jesus was coming by her village, she said to herself, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” On her way to see Jesus, she probably told herself many times, “If I touch His clothes, I will be healed. I will be made whole.” We don’t know how long she had been saying that to herself, but she was convinced that Jesus would heal her. If you are sick, convince yourself that Jesus is your healer and that by His stripes you are healed. You don’t need to convince God. He is not the one who needs to be persuaded because His blessing is already on you! It isyou who needs to be persuaded that God has already given you your miracle. That is the reason you confess His Word — to convince yourself, not God, to persuade your heart, not His. Some people confess their faith to others to convince God indirectly. For example, if they are believing God for healing, they go around telling their friends, “I am believing God for healing.” They are actually trying to convince or persuade God to heal them. They are telling God, “I’ve told so many people what I am believing You for. It would be very embarrassing if You don’t make it happen.” Their confession proceeds from unbelief and is used to manipulate God. It is okay to tell others if you want to, so that they can stand in faith with you for your miracle. But don’t do it to prove your faith to God and to convince Him. You just need to convince yourself that God loves you and delights in blessing you. Just say to yourself, “By His stripes I am healed. I will not suffer lack. Hello to all. It's Ash WEDNESDAY... I hope you had time to go to church.... For those of you who know ash wednesday but do not really understand what it means :::::::


     Lent is a time when many Christians prepare for Easter by observing a period of fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline. During some Ash Wednesday services, the minister will lightly rub the sign of the cross with ashes onto the foreheads of worshipers.

                                                
     The Bible does not mention Ash Wednesday or the custom of Lent, however, the practice of repentance and mourning in ashes is found in 2 Samuel 13:19; Esther 4:1; Job 2:8; Daniel 9:3; and Matthew 11:21.

Most people do not eat meat. This is very easy for me... I have adapted this new theory. I believe that you should sacrifice something that you feel you have to have. Like something that you are addicted too.My addiction is sweets. As I am typing , I am craving so bad a piece of chocolate or candy... I did not eat meat.. So for the next 40 days , I have made a commitment to skip chocolates and meat... I will eat fish, sardines etc..
I have so much to be greatful for. After all that Jesus Christ has done for me to, repent and fast is a small token of my appreciation for all the sacrifice he has done for me....
I pray for strength and wisdom and hope that I gain a little stronger faith..I hope that you do well in your sacrifice and do know that it means the world to your Heavenly father..
I hate to admit but, I am afraid of trying new things... So I was at home this Sunday.. Did not go to church. I was changing the channel and wanted to listen to the ministries that I normally do when I do not physically go to church. As I change the channel, I had the honor of listening to this particular Pastor. I have to be honest, I was seconds from changing the channel but something kept me from doing this.I was blessed with such a sermon and I was  revive and full of spirit. The Pastor's name was Joseph Prince... He is really great... The link to his website www.josephprince.org..

You are probably a responsible person who is concerned about providing well for your family — making sure that there is food on the table, money for the children’s needs, comfort and education, and so on. What does God have to say to us about these legitimate concerns? According to Matthew 6:31, He tells us, “Do not worry.” Now, He is not saying that we don’t need all these things because in the same portion of scripture He says, “For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.” (Matthew 6:32) So God cares about us having these things. He wants us to have all these things. In fact, He wants all these things added to us. And He tells us that the way these things are added to us is by us seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Therefore, our number one priority every day is to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness. It is not to seek to add these things to ourselves. But what is righteousness? Righteousness is not right behavior. It is right standing with the Father. It is the clearance of all your guilt, which makes you able to stand before God. It is not something you get through right behavior. It is a gift from God. Paul calls it “the gift of righteousness”. (Romans 5:17) And to “seek” this gift is to be conscious of the fact that you have it, to confess that you are righteous in Christ. So this righteousness we are told to seek is not right behavior, but right standing before God, which comes to us as a gift when we receive salvation. At the cross, Jesus didn’t just remove our sins, He also gave us His righteousness so that today, we can come boldly before the throne of God and receive freely everything that He died to give us! Today, if you want to provide your family with the good things in life, be assured that your heavenly Father knows that you need these things. Just seek His righteousness, not your own righteousness, and “all these things shall be added to you”!

Patience is essential for every aspect of  life.....
Delays.. God wants us to respond with calm acceptance to moments and seasons of waiting, while trusting in His sovereignty over every situation. Though the delay may seem annoying and senseless , the Lord uses these times to mature us. One of the first lessons a young child learn is how to wait. And our displays of irritation and anger are really just adult versions of childish tantrums. Each time you feel impatience rise up in your heart, remember that this is an opportunity to choose a mature response instead of acting like a spiritual toddler.....

In this prophecy of Isaiah, the Lord speaks comfort to his people against backdrop of suffering and exile. Likewise, we often feel weak and alone in times of waiting. Yet this passage reveals the incomparable power and love of God- and the life He offers to those who seek Him as their sole strength and desire..

 I wanted to share some of these things with you because the way things are going in this world today, we all need to hear  that things are going to change for the better as long as we pray together for our nations and we wait on God and stop trying to fix the things that we can not.....
 

Willing to Wait ....

Good evening to all my brothers and sisters... Today although I had some bad news , I am still being blessed through our heavenly fathers mercy... I pray for this nation and it's direction that it's going and I pray mostly for our children that they are able to receive Jesus in their lives... Everytime I look around , we take God out of everything we do... I am so surprise it is still being printed in the money we use..
As I had told you I had received not so good news, and with my not so good news I also received this booklet in my mail. It was a pamphlet that was sent to me by the "In Touch Ministries"... The beginning of it started out by reading Waiting on God... I just sighed.
I have such a problem with waiting. My patience is something  I have been working on. Normally I am the type of person that wants things right away. I have change a lot but I am still a working progress. I pray almost everyday to help me with this and  its been working so far. Today was truly a test of time for me so I know that my prayers are being answered...
    The phamplet stated the power of patience...I am going to quote you some of what it said because I think that this is how we feel...
  " From the mundane to the profound moments of our lives-- from waiting on traffic lights and elevators to the end of suffering  or the fulfillment of dreams-- life gives us no choice but to wait. Yet patience is becoming a rare quality in today's world. How often do we complain when something doesn't happen on the schedulewe have in mind, or when some unforseen obstacle prevents us from moving foward?
  For those of us who call upon the name of Jesus, patience is a characteristic we should cultivate. No one is born with it --just look at a new born baby! Rather, patience is fruit, which is developed over time(Gal. 5:22-23). Without it we'll never become the people God desires us to be or achieve what he's planned for us to do."
It goes on to say a lot more which I'll share with you tommorow. I just don't want to drag this blog ....

I thought today I start my blog a little different. I was very overwhelmed last night when I heard over the news that a favorite singer of mine had past. I teared up a little. I had hoped that she would have found peace eventually and had gotten herself freed from the demons that drugs cause you . Whether prescriptioned drugs or street drugs. It all is the same to me.Whitney Houston is the singer I am referring to in case you did not hear the news. I am not speculating that drugs were a factor. It could have been a whole bunch of things but, this is what had brought such an iconic diva with the voice of an angel downhill. She was criticize and an easy target for mockery for her very well known disturbing behaviour. I can not even begin to understand how her family could be coping with this news right now. I just pray that their faith is strong enough to help them through this. It has sadden me because there are such few good singers left. This was the singer that I will remeber as one of the greatest voices of all time. Rest in Peace truly.......

As I was looking at what this month was chosen to signify, I realized that it was not about Valentine's Day but, for my son to remeber his heritage.It is black history month.  I am not an african-american. My husband is. So it is a little difficult at times to try to teach my son about what his race had to go through in life just to get him here to a place in time where he has so much opportunities. All the doors that have been opened for him because of the struggles. So I make it my business to educate myself all the time because unfortunately in school they only summarize one small month, what has taken years to accomplish. My family has always loved music and I must say all we ever played in my home was american music. Although I was born here in the United States, my parent are hispanic. I hardly ever play spanish music and hardly speak spanish. A big boo-boo of mine. My children would have benefit a lot from learning. I just never wanted to confuse them. It is hard enough to learn the things that are taught today. With all the new technology . I did not want  to burden them. Now they have to learn it in school. Being that said we all grew up with gospel and rand B . Also at the beginning of the 90's late 80's some hip-hop. Not that crap these kids have to listen to today. Not many choices available made to them today.I don't want to offend the musicians that we have today or even the listeners but, let's speak the truth...

It was a bit much for me to go through. I just pray real hard that the people that have made such an impact in who we are today do not become forgotten... All these people had a purpose and they accomplished it... May God Bless their souls......
