This was my view yesterday... On my way home. Hello everyone. I am so sorry I have not been so diligent in keeping up with my blog. I hope the weekend finds you in good health and grateful for what you have today, whether that may be health, wealth, or just plain sanity.
I was going to write about the weather because I am so tired of it, but instead today I want to speak about our youth and the path that they are choosing.
As all of you already know, I work in New York city. Today at work I was told of a young man that is 23 years old whom had stab his stepfather to death because he would not give him the keys to drive the family's Lexus. This argument apparently started early in the morning hours (2-3) in the morning . After the stabbing of his stepfather, he took the Lexus and went to his exgirlfriend's house where he then butchered her mother. When the exgirlfriend came home later that afternoon, she found her mother and immediately call the police. She waited outside thinking the police would be there soon but was met up with the exboyfriend and this young man killed her too. After taking of from his exgirlfriends house , he drove and went to ditch this car were he stab another driver for there vehicle. As he was getting away , there was a car double park and he hit that hurting two females in the vehicle. Killing one immediately and injuring the other. While he sped off he hit a pedestrian whom was pronounce dead at the hospital. After all night and morning, he stab someone on the train in Penn station . This time the police apprehended him..... This is one of the stories where you wish you were making it up as you go. This young man has been arrested 10 times for numerous things and one of them is drugs.. How are we helping in the fight for drugs? I ask myself this question because I have children that are in their twenty's and I still have a teenager at home. This time this guy kill with a kitchen knife so we can't even say gun control. I think that after being arrested more than 10 times , there should have been some red flags raise as to this delinquents behavior. I feel something could have been done prior to this. Maybe if they would have given this young man a rehabilatation after his maybe third offense, he would not have been in this circumstance. Innocent blood spill all over the city. It is not the parents fault nowadays. We have laws that are not meant for disciplining the youth today. As soon as the parent raises their voice the child threatens them with calling the police. That is whats wrong today. There are some cases where there has been abuse and they were overlooked by the child welfare, I feel the law does not need to change for that reason. You need more training and taking cases more seriously.Investigate. Hire those who truly care for the welfare of the children and not someone who wants to get a check. This is not the type of job for that. Stuff like this annoys me .really bad. I came from a household that my mom and dad believed in the belt. It was exercise often. In my household my sister and I were not very nice kids. The discipline we receive was not abusive at all. I now understand why my parents did it. We were getting out of hand and needed to respect authority .... That's what is wrong with a lot of children today . They do not respect authority.... I am adding a link to the above story for those who want to , for themselves. ... Love one another till next time......http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/brooklyn/brooklyn_man_who_went_on_killing_kAAlEX8zo0xjkSXQZM4THL
