Yolanda Adams - Victory {Entire Video}
CONTINUATION PART II From this morning
I apologize for not being able to tell you the joke I also read.. I got a little emotional so I had to take a moment for myself..
Anyhow I usually get the bi-weekly publication from our town... This booklet is filled with all sorts of whats happening in our county.
I find a lot of funny jokes that faithful readers submit.
" Talk About Getting Old"
Poor Mildred was a 93 year old woman who was particularly despondent over the recent death of her husband Earl. She decided she would just kill herself and join him in death.Thinking that it would be best to get it over with quickly, she took out Earl's old Army pistol and made the decision to shoot herself in the heart since it was so badly broken in the first place...
Not wanting to miss the vital organ and become a vegetable and burden to someone, she called her doctor's office to inquire as to just exactly where the heart would be . " On a woman," the doctor said, "your heart would be just below your left breast."
Later that night, Mildred was admitted to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her left knee......Lol
Here is a little joke for the kids
Q. Why did the Easter egg hide?
A. He was a little chicken!
I know a little late but early for next year.. Have a blessed night and may peace be with you..

Raining with laughter
Good morning everyone. Hope all is well and in good health or as good as it gets..
I am off today and of course it is soaking wet outside... It is funny how God makes me rest.. I was just complaining about how tired I am and all I have to do on my day off. Well I hate going out in the rain so guess what . I am staying home. Getting the rest that is much needed. I was reading some stuff last night and bump into a few good things. First there was a joke and then there was an inspirational quote and then there was a small story that really capture me. It is something that I do and to see that other people do it to, was a comfort to me.
I guess I'll start by telling you the story,
It was a young man that remember's when he was a child and his family was much less fortunate than others. This was Thanksgiving time. He tells how someone came and knock on their door and brought them a box of food and a huge turkey and even brought pans to cook it in. They were very poor at the time and the father was very stubborn and refuse to ask for help, nonetheless the stranger at the door simply stated that some friends he knew saw they were in need and would not accept direct help. Although the father refuse the help the stranger walk away and told him he had no choice...
Many years later this man that is no longer a child remember's this and had promise himself to pay it foward. So he goes and purchases bags of food for needed families and brings it to them. He actually goes to the disadvantages neighborhoods and gives bags of food.
I can remember this same exact thing happen to me. Except I was the adult. It was one thanksgiving day and I had no real home for my children or so I thought. See my definition of home at the time was a big house with the white picked fence and a dog.. But, much to my dismay , I learn through that particular thanksgiving that home is where there are a bunch of people that enjoy each other and make a family. People that come together in their hardest times and still love each other and make the best out of a bad scenario. I had two girls and fairly young myself.. The lady I was staying with was an angel that had basically been sent from God to shield me but at the time, i had not known that. This particular Thanksgiving she had lost her job and all I had was a part time one... Not a lot of money coming in so food was very scarce and needless to say no money for a big Thanksgiving dinner... ( Keep this in mind, it's the reason i hate the way the goverment runs the Welfare system) A lot of you might ask why did we not go and apply for food stamps, and we did but because she had owned her home we did not qualify even myself with a part time job maybe bringing in 150 every two weeks and having two girls did not qualify.... But this magical day as we were contemplating in just throwing some hotdogs and make the best of the evening their was a knock on the door. It was a few ladies that came from a church that had A tote of food.. Not a bag a tote of food and a big turkey and enough food to last us for a good month... I tell you no lie it was such an experience I melted down and just started to cry. They had invited us over to their church and we went and I actually had a great time. Still not understanding the significance of a church but just being grateful that they were sent to our home by someone we still till today do not know and I am talking about 15 years later, I still do not know.. We kept in contact with the church and a week later they had came by again and this time brought us gifts for the kids. I had two girls and my friend/sister had a son.. They even brought them brand new coats and scarfs and gloves . Boots you name it.. Right now as I am reliving this memory my heart is still overwhelmed by the kindness of some people and it still puts tears in my eyes.. Anyhow I had made a promise to myself that one day I would be in the position to help others even if this meant that I would skip a holiday serving to give it to others. I would not overindulge in gifts for myself and help buy for others that really need it. A child does not understand that Santa did not visit them because there was no money... They just feel that they were bad kids and that is no way to feel... I have personally seen those faces in my own girls and as long as I can I will help assure that some children do not have too.
I am not wealthy at all, but I do collect for kids in need. I start to buy little things almost all year around and there is always a child that needs a gift. This year it is my mission to start a drive at my church for kids less fortunate... I want to do like this gentleman in this story and pay it foward. The reward is in the satisfaction of being a christian at heart....
" I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said ' It is more blessed to give than to receive' "
Acts 20:35
With much love , I will pray for all tonight and hope that this year you keep in mind those less fortunate than you and help your fellow brothers and sisters in christ , that they not need food or shelter in these hard times..
