My Mother-in- Law

This picture is my mother-in-law at our church at New Life Faith Temple singing for the Lord.
The woman you see here is my mother in law.. Her name is Mary. I admire her a lot and I will explain why I have decided to talk about her today.

Hello everyone ,hopefully your day was great and wonderful under the spirit of the Lord that embraces us everyday.
I wanted to start by showing you a picture of my mom... She is my mother in law but, has been a part of my life for so long that she is mom.. I have been with my husband for approximately 20 years and therefore she has earn that title from me..
This woman has gone through so much in her life and I have been witness to that. I have seen her go through the most diffucult divorce ever... I mean she was married 25 years and all of a sudden her husband a Pastor at that just went crazy and forgot the Lord... Since he has past on but, the strentgh that this woman has received from just being faithful to God no matter how bad the storm was is incredible. She almost lost her house and God made a way for her to be able to keep it. She had lost her job and found one better than the one she lost.. Who in the world at the age of 55 years old can find a good job with benefits that is willing to take someone in that is almost at her retirement age.... God made it possible for her.. She lay every night on her floor and pray to the only person that knew what she really needed in her life . She since has retired and now she has been able to raise her other grandchildren against all odds. No one understands why she puts up with all the hassle of taking care of three young children. Ages 10,8,5. Two boys and one girl. Did I tell you she has retitred early just to be able to take them in and care for them because she knows is what the Lord has chosen her to do and he has made a path for her to follow. She is very obedient and for this she will be very bless with the rest of her life...She truly is and inspiration to all... Shows you the power of prayer and believing that it will happen at God's time and not yours. Waiting with patience and having the faith that it will happen... Is what we should all be doing!!!!!!!!! At least I know is what I have started to do and I have notice a lot of changes in my life as well. Some call it coincidence, and I tell them I do not believe in coincidence I believe that it was my path that was put in front of me and it is confirmation to what I am suppose to do...
I have a grandchild myself and I can now related to why she takes care of these children. It is a love that you can not find anywhere else. You want to make sure that anything that you made have did wrong with your children you can fix with these. It's like a do over...
This is the first time I can ever recall that she has taking a sip of wine.... I had to take a picture and the lady next to her is Ms. Ann . It is her very best friend. They came to visit us from Virginia.

I was reading a Psalm today . It was # 92 It starts out by saying " it is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the most High. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening...If you have time you should read the rest. It is truly beautiful .

I pray, Father God thank you for you are and all you do for those of us who deserve and who dont for only you can judge and we are here to love each other and not condemn one another. I want to thank you for my health my children my grandchildren my life for the good of it and the bad for if it was always good we would never seek you and the love that you have given us and the mercy should be more than enough for us to want to do all that we can to seek you and walk the path that you have chosen for us.. Thank you for loving us so much that although we sin knowingly and unknowingly you still love us.... I love you Lord ... In jesus name I pray
                             Amen

Joke for today..

Hello all... Hope your day was as great as mine. I love God and that is why not  much bothers me.. Hope you have the same Joy... Try it sometimes..

On another subject, today's weather was terrible. Very foggy and humid and raining. The temperature though is great. Go figure that..
My day was very simple ,went to work as usual. Nothing different but somehow it was great. My grandaughter keeps me going and I am  about to eat a piece a cake that my dear husband had baked earlier today.. He makes very moist cakes, super delicious. Very Fattening but I do not care. I have learn to love myself and accept my weight gain as I am getting older.
I have a joke to tell you today, I was reading and it had me laughing so I hope that it those the same for you... here it goes.

                GRANDMA GETS SOME ANSWERS

A sweet grandmother telephoned St. Joseph's Hospital. She timidly asked," Is it possible to speak to someone who can tell me how a patient is doing?"
The operator said," I'll be glad to help , dear. What's the name and the room number?"
The grandmother in her weak tremulous voice said, "Norma Findlay, Room 302."
The operator replied, "Let me place you on hold while I check with her nurse."
After a few minutes the operator returned and said, "Good news. Her nurse has told me that Norma is doing very well. Her blood pressure is fine. Her blood work just came back as normal and her Physician, Dr. Cohen, has scheduled her to be discharged Tuesday."
The grandmother said, "Thank you. That's wonderful! I was so worried! God bless you for the good news."
The operator replied, " You're more than welcome. Is Norma your daughter?"
The grandmother said ,"No ,I'm Norma Findlay in 302. No one tells me SH**!"

I found this joke in a bi-weekly publication in 'Our Town"..

PJ Thanks for the compliment. The pic was taken by my son. We were at Oceancity Maryland. WE were just enjoying one of God's greatest gift... The Beach....

Girls fun

Great good morning everyone. Hope that today is a great day for all of you.. Just give thanks to the lord for giving you another day and everything will be ok..
This picture was taken in my truck when I went to Va. This past week to visit my grandmother.. These little girls are our future and it was amazing to see how much they resemble the past. My granddaughters look like both of my daughters and my little niece looks like her mom.. Just like twins.
The great thing I found out is how wonderful it is to be given a second chance to be a mother again.. Fix what you could have done better. Not a lot of people get that concept. Grandmothers today are more important than back then. It's like we became surrogate moms overnight . But what can you do but be grateful that you are still here on this earth to partake of the up bringing of your grandchild..
I know that sometimes you get overwhelmed but somehow you did it back when you was a mom and you will find the strength now that you are a grandparent.
Speak to you later ..
Sylvia

The girls

Hello everyone. I'm so blessed to be able to show you this picture. This was taken in Virginia. These girls are our future. It's my granddaughter Jenelle and Kamari and my niece Essence.
They were just all hanging out having a good .
These are the days that we have to cherish....,,

upset Saturday

Hello everyone. Hope your Saturday was good. It was a very nice day in Pennsylvania...
Work was crazy.. I had not been there in a few days. As I told you guys yesterday I went to Virginia to see my grandma  Ruby....

This is Grandma Ruby and my husband....

She has not been feeling good. This is how I feel today. I'm tired and drain. My grandaughter went with her mother. It's quiet here today. I was able to take a small nap...
My daughter made me so mad today that I had to pray for patience and just really stop bothering with her..

Memories

Hello everyone. Sorry it has been a couple of days that I have not been able to write. Not that I did not want to.
I wanted to say thank you to our Heavenly Father for granting us another day in this world.

My Grandma Ruby Is Almost 90 Years old
                                            doesn't she look great???????

This woman you see right here is my grandama Ruby... She has been battling sicknesses for over 10 years. According to hospice they had given her 6 months to live.... That was about 6 years ago.. Although she is very ill, she still has the spirit of the Lord with her... It is very admirable to see someone of her age which is almost 90 still be around and be able to tell tales of back then.. It's nothing like listening to it from your very own family. I pray for her well being all the time ,but as you see she is a warrior and for what ever reason our heavenly father has blessed her to still be with us. I think it is truly a miracle that as the Dr.'s almost sign her death certificate 6 years ago God has other plans and he is the true decider on when your time is up on this earth.... Not knocking the medical proffession in anyway.

This week my husband and I went to go and see her. I hope that I am able to go and see her on a weekly basis before she departs this earth.. Although she would definetely be sadly miss she has had a long fight ....I could only hope that I am that strong when I become of age...
I heard her sing a song and frankly I have never heard her sing before.. It was call "Walk with Me Lord", I think that I am going to ask my husband who is the choir director of our church to sing that song for my grandmother even though she is in Virginia. I know she can hear it in her soul...

I pray Father thank you for allowing me to be here on this earth to see my family another day for we know that tommorow is not promise to us and those that we hold dearly are not promise to be here with us another day so we cherish the times that you do give us . We love you and embrace you and pray for our souls that we may have lived our lives abundantly and in your ways and not ours, that we may make you proud of this generation of struggling children of yours on this earth still trying to find their way home to you. We pray that you comfort all those that are sick and that are sick in their hearts , that  they may find their way back to you before it is to late. That they may reeem themselves and accept jesus as their savior. I pray for all..... In Jesus name

Amen:::::

Women's Day AT Church

Hello everyone. Today is a special day. For those of you who do not know, it is breast cancer day. Even though this whole month is set aside for just that. We also have lung cancer. To me we should dedicated more months for cancer of all types period. We should educate ourselves and do a lot of prescreening to avoid what can be avoided... Cancer has killed so many people and it is very important to discuss this disease as much as possible... It kills fast and it also kills you slowly...

Today it was Women's Day at our church.. Our service started at 4 pm. Thanks to all that came to support your fellow sister. It was truly a blessing the message that was pass to me. It was all about Faith...
We all can relate to the fact that our faith gets tested often... Is how much faith we have that bring us out, by yourself you could have never done it.
This was New Life Faith Temple's 2nd Women's Day Service....
It was an honor to be part of it...

Have faith in the lord people... The rewards in itself are so worth it...

I'm going to leave you with this I read .

" Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

Tranquility

Hello everyone. Hope all is well with all of you. My family is great so I'm at peace. This picture was taking while in the bus. As all you already know , I commute to work and for those of you who did not know, now you do. But anyhow this was what I woke up to after a quick nap.
Just this morning it was cold and raining. A very fall/winter day. Now the sight of beauty and peace is above me ... I'm staring out the window and looking at the clouds. Everything looks peaceful and tranquil....

Commuting

Hello everyone. Hope your day is good and you are out enjoying the weather. Here on pa the weather was crazy yesterday but today it's beautiful. We had a thunderstorm and in some areas hail but nothing to drastic.
I just want to say that most of my day was ok and it usually is like that until I get on the bus to go home. The commuter bus. You see I live in Pennsylvania but , there is no real jobs here do I travel to new York everyday. I therefore commute. It usually is a 2 hour commute but traffic gets bad and it could turn to 3 hours very easy... People are normally friendly, but there is always one in a bunch ... The good part of commuting is that you get to sleep those hours and the worst to me is that you trust someone else's driving to carry you back and forth...
I use to drive myself and it cost me a lot of money. I was barely bringing home anything so I started commuting.
There you have my drama. The other bad part is also depending on the driver to make good and bad decisions. It can add up to another two hours in commute .will continue my post later let me find out what this bus driver is doing now lollllll

A poem

 An Empty Tomb Instead

They came to the quiet garden
 In the early morning gloom,
And there in the shadowed darkness
They found an empty tomb.

  They brought their scented spices
 To anoint the hallowed dead,
But found, to their amazement,
 The Living Lord instead.

  Their hearts were heavy-laden
 Bowed down with deep despair
But when they lifted tear-dimmed eyes,
   LO, Jesus was standing there.

They thought all hope had ended
With Calavry's dying breath .
But they found a powerful Savior,
   Triumphant over death!

On that wonderful Easter morning,
In a garden sweet with dew,
   A world to save
 To live and reign anew.

So oft in the midst of sorrows
When hope seems cold and dread,
with lifted eyes, we too may see
An empty tomb instead..

Coming to a conclusion

  Good day everyone...
Hope your day was filled with love and grace . I am doing ok, but could always be better.. Financially I'm so in debt I sometimes do not know how I am coming out but, somehow by God's great mercy I do..
I today had to take off. My son, the baby in our family, who is 16 years of age, had to have eye surgery.
It made me realize that I am no longer needed like before. He went in with my husband and I waited outside. Although it might seem minor to most of you, my son has never had to have anything of this nature or any other done to him. I was concern and I thought he might be afraid. Never share a thought or a comment. Barely said how the surgery went and what did it feel like. So, I came to the conclusion that I was no longer needed as a mom.
He has always be a loner but, has share a lot of things with me along the way. I do not know if to feel happy about it or sad. It has really not hit me yet. He is our youngest of 4 and somehow I thought that I would be happy when he no longer needed me but, I guess there is always something that as a mother I want from my kids at no matter what age and that's to feel like they need me ...
Well my oldest moved out and I am happy for her. She has a duplex for her and my grandchild. She has come a long way in a short few months. I just wish that she makes wiser decisions but, she is one of those that have to learn the hard way.
My daughter in Virginia turned 21 today. And my 19 year old just got a job as an Asst. Store Manager. Very proud of her...
Today is Columbus Day......... Enjoy America and it's freedom

Joke for Today

This is my joke for today so enjoy.. It is short but to the point.
         "Pharmacist"

A woman walks into a pharmacy and asks the pharmacist for some arsenic.
 He asks," What for?"
She says, " I want to kill my husband."
He says," Sorry I can't do that."

She then reaches into her handbag and pulls out a photo of her husband in bed with the pharmacist's wife and hands it to him.
He looks at it and says,
" You didn't tell me you had a prescription!"

Just a little something to make you laugh today . This joke came out of the "Our Town" bi-weekly publication..

Continuation from this morning

As I told you this morning , I witnessed a miracle unfold in front of my eyes. To be honest we had assumed the evangelist had maybe put a 100 dollars but it definitely was so much more. Only god knew what she needed. Not even she knew for god had sent her someone to cover her electric and water . To close this chapter the needed amount for the electric was 153 and the water was 584 what she received was 800 ... Tell me that's not a miracle. That was nothing but god at best... It went to a much deserved family and hope that the lord blesses this evangelist tremendously... For she truly was an angel and did not do it because she had too but because she has love for Christians( brothers and sisters) in Christ ...

Missing my grandchild

GeoTagged, [N40.76026, E74.00737]

Extremely good morning to everyone. Sorry I have not been able to blog any for a couple of days. There are a few things I want to share today.
First, I miss my granddaughter. My daughter just got her apartment and yesterday my granddaughter spent the night at her home. Or her new place because my house is home. Being that said, I must admit although we needed much rest , we miss her. By we , I mean my husband and myself. He truly misses her more than me because he is closer to her..,
My god it was a miracle that I witness a few days ago. I know it was a miracle that only god can do because after I tell you the story you realize there truly couldn't be no other way.
A few days ago, a family I know got there electric turn off. The husband had been battling spiritual battles which become emotional and it affects your financial situation as well. I know this personally. Well the family came and stayed with us. We talked about the situation and how it can't get worst, we exchange some spiritual conversations. I prayed for this family. They have four children 10 and under and the husband is very disable. Can not work at all. She had just got laid off. When you have no faith or are lacking a bit or a lot and things like this happen , you feel overwhelmed and let down by the Christ . If you had faith in the first place it has decreased . But let me show you how God himself allowed me to witness a miracle....
Remember this family was in my house and we all had good conversation and the kids went to bed and we all just talking things through. I had no money to offer to help pay for the electric but, what I did have was faith that my god that I love would not allow this family to go without. He was just about to show them just what he is capable of. We went to bed and slept ,woke up the next morning started making some phone calls to see how we can turn this electric back on. Well we called the electric company and found out what we needed to get it back on . Now knowing the amount we were calling all the social services , salvation army and all these agency . What we did not think to do was call on God first. See although we prayed about the situation we did not asked him for help and guidance. So we are about to leave to go to one of these agency when her phone rings. It was God. Let me explain . On the other line was an evangelist from our church that we attend, and had ask the family to come over she wanted to help her with something. Now she had no idea what's going on because the electric got cut off at night and it was about 1 in the afternoon the next day. We had not call any church members to trouble them with the circumstances. Really did not think about it. Anyhow we went to her house and she gave the lady an envelope and a much needed hug . We left and stop and pray. We thank god and then we open the envelope. It was enough money to turn on the electric and water. Because the next day the water had got shut off. I almost cry for her and just hug her and thank god for blessing her. I will continue later so please come back and have a great day.....,

A story to tell

Good Morning to all. I want to say hello. How are you doing? Do you need someone to pray with today? Our service at church was about being not just a christians by word but by actions and giving glory to God for all that he truly does for us in our lives daily... We always want to take all the credit for the things that we think we do ,  but in actuality all the credit goes to God that through you he is able to do such miracles...

Here is my story that I read for the day ...Really it is more like a cheer for those who are afraid....

    Don't be afraid to FAIL

You've failed many times, although you may not remember.
You fell down the first time you tried to walk.
You almost drowned the first time you tried to swim, didn't you?
Did you hit the ball the first time you swung at a  bat?
Heavy hitters, the ones who hit the most home runs, also strike out a lot...
R.H. Macy failed seven times before his store in New York caught on.
English novelist John Creasey got 753 rejection slips before he published 564 books.
Babe Ruth struck out 1,330 times, but he alsohit 714 home runs.
Dont worry about failure.
Worry about the chances you miss when you dont even try......

A joke for today.....

Here is my joke for today... Enjoy

   What Did You Say?
A guy is out, with his buddies, has a few drinks, is feeling a little frisky, but- true  to his wife, goes home...
He finds her sound asleep in bed with her mouth wide open, so he gets two aspirin and drops them in her mouth...
She starts to choke, but recovers and asks- " What did you put in my mouth?"
He says, " Two aspirin."
She replies, BUT I DONT HAVE A HEADACHE! "
He says " That's all I wanted to hear."
