Even though the day started out beautiful as usual there is something that you will find to complain about..
My sister's in christ and myself had the privilidge delivering a word that was put upon us by the lord himself. I know this sounds crazy to some people. I myself thought it was insane at first , I kept thinking how such a sinner like myself can be spoken to by GOD and be given a word....
As I read the bible to find something I can deliver to my church family and to any of those who come in contact with me, I ended up reading the new testament a lot. I was plause by reading Matthew... I don't know if you're familiar with the Bible but I read of the King James Version and just recently I was told that the red letters on the Bible in the New Testament mean that those words were spoken by Jesus . Needless to say that I got really nervous. If you know the Bible like myself , then that means you know nothing. It has literally taken me over 20 years to try to understand what I'm reading. But I found out that all you have to do is pray and open your heart you can get all the messages of the Bible as if you had lived there yourself.
So as I openly read the Bible in the book of Matthew, Jesus is talking to everyone and he's telling us to seek the kingdom of God but, for those of us who believe and have faith, we do not have enough... Examples of real faith, in Genesis 6 we learn about one faithful man...
Noah. He was a just man and found favor in Gods eyes ,so he was chosen to build an ark and was told by God he can only bring his wife and his three kids and their wives. The Lord also told him that he was upset with the worl at that time and he was going to drown it and with him he was going to start a new land... What Faith that must have been to build and ark put your family in it and yourself and wait for the earth to be drown...
We also see in Genesis 22 that Abraham was tempted by God and he was told to sacrifice his child and give him up as a burnt offering. As if this wasn't enough . So Abraham faithfully was going to give his. That was faith as well.............................

Hopeful word
What a blessing it is to have a confirmation from the lord as to what I am suppose to talk about in my 20 minute sermon that i'm suppose to do tommorow. I was invited by the Pastor in my church to bring forth a message that I feel God has put upon me to deliver to the congregation. Wish me strength and Holy spirit conviction and in closing , i will suggest you read Isaiah 40:28- finish.
biographical and autobiographical preachings part ll
Again preachers must pray and ask god for his anointing. Learn how to pull on God's anointing. Don't let the devil tell you , you look silly or you're too loud. Be led by the spirit and do not be afraid to be led. Do not quench the spirit or hold back. Put everything and everybody out of your mind and focus your eyes on someone who has a positive spirit a happy face. Don't look at people who sit there with no expression, arms folded etc... The devil will use them to bind you up or you may become tongue tied or begin to feel like you're choking. Shake it off and call on the Holy Spirit.

What a day ????
Grandchildren!!!!!!!!!!!
What a joy it is to have grandchildren. I have two beautiful little grandaughters and I tell you it's like a do over. Sometimes it feels like they are put here on this earth to help you correct the mistakes we made with our own.

Biographical and Autobiographical Preaching
Preachers may chosose to tell a story by focusing on their own or some other person's experience. In this regard biographical and autobiographical preaching may be considered sub categoriesof narrative preaching. The bible is a compilation of fascinating and informative stories. A wonderful way to make the Bible come alive, especially for people who are more open to drama presentation (i e children & youth) than they are to lecture or rhetoric, is to become adept at presenting your story in the context of preaching using first or third person character develpoment. A biography wherein an objective observer narrates or recounts the events in the life of a certain person.
First and third person preaching while they may be entertaining, are not designed to primarily entertain. They are meant to be inductive, to lead people deeper and deeper into a biblical scene or into a moment in the lifeof a al character when some significant encounter with god takes place . The most important ingredient in this kind of preaching is detail. Detail with regard to the sights, sounds? What is the , emotions and interactions of the character being discussed....
(i e : How does the person look?) What might he or she be wearing? What is the geography and topography that surrounds them? what a person might be feeling ? What a person might be thinking?

Slaves
In biblical times we see that there were so many slaves with no complaints. What I mean by this there is a chapter in Genesis 16:1-20 , where Hagar ( an egyptian slave) was given to her master's husband to have a child for her master. Through all this she still had faith in god. She was a big believer in god and praise god for all.... Even though, she was mistreated after the fact that she had conceived, and badly may I add, she knew that her son was going to be a person of a great nation....
In todays world where everything is always seeming to go wrong, we tend to blame God for all the wrong in our lives and do not want to take the responsibilities that has cause us to make poor choices even knowing the WORD of God... So many of us are so full of ourselves that we forget to give thanks to the Lord for even waking us up another day and what a blessing that alone is........

C) The Expository Sermon
As the word expository suggests, the goal is to set forth or "expose" the lessons contained within a given passage of scripture. In expository preaching every word is analyzed and every person whether a major or minor character is considered. One verse is studied in relationship to the verse that comes before and after. Careful exegesis of the biblical text is essential in expository preaching, because it is information learned in this solitary exercise that the preacher will share with the congregation. Expository preaching is a good place to do some work with the hebrew and greek texts, which offer insights into the original meaning of a passage. Expository preaching is meant to increase people's familiarity with the content, context, characters in thetext can be addressed and applied to the lives of the people who are hearing the sermon......
ie: then in the bible vs today ( yourself or use someone or something else as per 2008)
Three Point Dialectic Preaching....
Many preachers automatically think about preaching in relationship to the three points. The three point dialectic method may be use in the context of other types od sermons such as expository and topical. However, it deserves its own category because this method can serve as the essential approach to a sermon.. A classical three point sermon begins with a
1) Thesis,: A statement of how things are or how things should be. A thesis may also be a truth that should be embraced or an action that should be taken....
2) Antithesis: is the obstecle or problem preventing the thesis from being achieved, whether the desired outcome is an action or an affirmation.
3) The synthesis: is the solution that sermon is offering to the problem, or the setting forth of the ways in which the thesis can be accomplished. What makes this approach to preaching so authentic is that the synthesis (the solution to the problem) is the point at which the topic in question comes under biblical scrutiny and analysis. It is important that the topic of this kind of sermon be one of current interest and importance within society. The scripture text then serves as the lens through which that topic is considered. This approach can work with an endless list of the topics and texts. However three things are required from the preacher . First the thesis statement or the topical concern must be faithfully stated and described. Second , the opposing point of view ( or the reason why some people are not willing to act) must be considered with equal care. Finally, an honest and through exegetical review must take place as part of the synthesis....
Other forms and styles to use within a sermon
1) Narrative preaching an Biblical storytelling
This approach of preaching focuses on recounting the sequence of events leading up to , including and caoming in the wake of a particular event or moment in time ie: the crossing of the red sea, the effects of those present when a woman with an alabaster box anointed the feet of jesus in the house of a Pharisee....
These and dozens more are stories to be told and the appeal is less to the brain and the notion of understanding but more to the senses and the creation of an experience. However, the desired outcome is the same: to draw listeners in by induction until encounter the truth or lesson that the story seeks to communicate the key to biblical storytelling and narrative preaching is your own intimate familiarity with the biblical stories themselves . Storytelling is an art form that preachers should most definitely cultivate in the preaching. this is accomplished in part through the use of maximun detail ( this also lengthens out your sermon) so that senses as well as the brain are all working to receive the message. Describe the heat of the sun, imagine the sound of the wind, dramatize the pain someone was enduring.. Depict the full palette of colors. Explore the sounds and scents. Utter dramatically, for emphasis, any words spoken as part of a conversation.
