Hello everyone. Hope you are on good spirits. The weather here in pa is a little cold but not as cold as it's gonna get... So we are still enjoying decent weather...it has not snow or iced in a while and we are so happy. Although it is very cold. I have now realized that I leave for work in the dark and come home in the dark. Daylight saving time is definitely not my friend. But I enjoy the extra sleep I got on sunday.
I have a few things to get of my chest this day. First I want to say to those people that do not go to church but do acknowledge God and Jesus for who they are in your life sometimes that is all you need. You are not wrong. I have been going to church for a little over 2 years now and I can see why it is that people would rather worship and praise God i their own time and in their own homes.
I have come to the conclusion that Church People Hurt People. You see a lot of times you have people that have been in church much longer than yourself and feel that they know more. That may be true but, in my case I have acknowledge God my whole life. I always knew the right from wrong and I always had put God in front of all. Earthly people today run the church and when you loose sight of the original pact that when you open a church you made with God , you condemn yourself. You become a money hungry church. This is what had happen to my last church I was going to. The church had held an ordination and the following sunday the Pastor of the church said in service that the congregation and their guests were cheap people.
This did not go very well with me. Since when do God need money, He can do it all or have we forgotten. Granted we need finances to pay for a building to be able to go and worship in but do say that God needs your money because he doesn't. He needs your love and trust and faith. He wants you to accept and love one another. He has blessings in store for us if we would just stop the fighting. I mean a spiritual fight. The one you know when you are wrong but you do it anyway. Why do we do this to ourselves? We buried ourselves all the time. In my new church there are a few people that have an authority issue going on. I pray as I always try before I do things because is if something is really troubling you and you pray with the most sincere heart you will get the answer that you are seeking. So I pray like I was saying and I became less worry about someone bossing me around and reminded myself why I do go to church. I go to learn more about God . I go to get a message. An interpretation of the bible that I can not get myself. I go to say thank you for keeping me another day and not letting me go. For allowing me to be your daughter even though we are sinful people. In my testimony on sundayI profess to the church that I love everyone. I truly meant that. For the first time in a long time I was ablre to say something and mean it. I get ridicule a lot at work because I am always happy and very few times you see my upset even though it is 7 in the morning and the weather might be horrible. I tell everyone is the love of Jesus that is in me...
I read this in a book . The book is called" GOD"S INSPIRATIONAL PROMISE BOOK" by Max Lucado.
"I am frightened by our ability in America to convince ourselves that we don't need Jesus. We can amass fortunes, we can get degrees, we can own our house all on our own. And yet, there's a certain affluence that we can attain when we become poverty-stricken-- a certain humility that comes with trials, that bring us face to face with the Saviour."
And it goes to say that
" God exalts humility. When God works in our lives, helping us to become humble, he gives us a permanent joy: humility gives us a joy that cannot be taken away."
Pray today... ANd love

Communion
Hello everyone. Hope you have a great day. I went to church today for it was communion Sunday. It's observe usually the first of the month. The first sunday that is. I learn the significant of the communion. I have always been taught that unless you did not sin you were not allowed to partake of communion. However today I was reminded of the last supper and the real meaning and how important the last supper was to the world. We are keeping a reminder of the sacrifice that Jesus did for us. We were wash by the blood of Jesus therefore we are faultless Christians through Christ. I heard a song that was on the radio and normally I would not have listen to this kind of music but the lyrics caught me ear. It says my best friend gave me the best advice, each day is a gift and not a given right... Think about today if you knew that tommorow was your last day how would you live it. How good would you feel to be in front of god......

Bible.
There was once a time when I read the bible and had no idea what in the world I was reading. Not understanding the bible was one of the reason's why I never had the urge to go to church.. I had always been against forcing religion on my children when I had a hard time with it myself...
Now I have been reading more and found bible's that were interpreted in our English today. So I now understand what I am reading and some of it saddens me to know that we are not that much different even after having a miracle walk this earth...

Leading Ladies Dinner
Good Day to all,
I am so sorry that I have not really done a good post in a while. Justtruly have been very busy and tired. The holidays are starting up at work and my boby is trying to catch up with it.
In any event, I had time last sunday to go and worship with another church . The name of it was called innovation and it was a total different experience than what I was a custom to. It was truly a different experience altogether. I will add a link to their website so that maybe you can see what I was talking about. I have never been in a church that did not have the cross , instead they have a cube and the cube represents perfection.
I was invited to go to the Leading Lady dinner that they had for women to fellowship together. I thought what a great idea this would be considering I would be among christian women and would discuss everyday life . It was not like that but, we worship together and sang together and ate together. I actually felt comfortable. It gave me an idea to invite the ladies in my church over to fellowship at my home and discuss women issues that pertain to us and our walk with God.

Pray for me
I have had a really bad day emotionally. I have never really got into details about my personal life, just a few snipets here and there. I want you to understand that I am truly grateful got my life even though today it feels like a storm...
I ask anyone who reads my blog to please include a prayer for me for my strength. You know I have been married for almost 20 years and I feel like it is coming to an end... It is so hard when you are use to certain things and in a few instances it all changes and what you thought you were use to it's totally different... Just pray for me ... Good night

My Mother-in- Law
This picture is my mother-in-law at our church at New Life Faith Temple singing for the Lord.
The woman you see here is my mother in law.. Her name is Mary. I admire her a lot and I will explain why I have decided to talk about her today.
Hello everyone ,hopefully your day was great and wonderful under the spirit of the Lord that embraces us everyday.
I wanted to start by showing you a picture of my mom... She is my mother in law but, has been a part of my life for so long that she is mom.. I have been with my husband for approximately 20 years and therefore she has earn that title from me..
This woman has gone through so much in her life and I have been witness to that. I have seen her go through the most diffucult divorce ever... I mean she was married 25 years and all of a sudden her husband a Pastor at that just went crazy and forgot the Lord... Since he has past on but, the strentgh that this woman has received from just being faithful to God no matter how bad the storm was is incredible. She almost lost her house and God made a way for her to be able to keep it. She had lost her job and found one better than the one she lost.. Who in the world at the age of 55 years old can find a good job with benefits that is willing to take someone in that is almost at her retirement age.... God made it possible for her.. She lay every night on her floor and pray to the only person that knew what she really needed in her life . She since has retired and now she has been able to raise her other grandchildren against all odds. No one understands why she puts up with all the hassle of taking care of three young children. Ages 10,8,5. Two boys and one girl. Did I tell you she has retitred early just to be able to take them in and care for them because she knows is what the Lord has chosen her to do and he has made a path for her to follow. She is very obedient and for this she will be very bless with the rest of her life...She truly is and inspiration to all... Shows you the power of prayer and believing that it will happen at God's time and not yours. Waiting with patience and having the faith that it will happen... Is what we should all be doing!!!!!!!!! At least I know is what I have started to do and I have notice a lot of changes in my life as well. Some call it coincidence, and I tell them I do not believe in coincidence I believe that it was my path that was put in front of me and it is confirmation to what I am suppose to do...
I have a grandchild myself and I can now related to why she takes care of these children. It is a love that you can not find anywhere else. You want to make sure that anything that you made have did wrong with your children you can fix with these. It's like a do over...
This is the first time I can ever recall that she has taking a sip of wine.... I had to take a picture and the lady next to her is Ms. Ann . It is her very best friend. They came to visit us from Virginia.
I was reading a Psalm today . It was # 92 It starts out by saying " it is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the most High. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening...If you have time you should read the rest. It is truly beautiful .
I pray, Father God thank you for you are and all you do for those of us who deserve and who dont for only you can judge and we are here to love each other and not condemn one another. I want to thank you for my health my children my grandchildren my life for the good of it and the bad for if it was always good we would never seek you and the love that you have given us and the mercy should be more than enough for us to want to do all that we can to seek you and walk the path that you have chosen for us.. Thank you for loving us so much that although we sin knowingly and unknowingly you still love us.... I love you Lord ... In jesus name I pray
Amen

Joke for today..
Hello all... Hope your day was as great as mine. I love God and that is why not much bothers me.. Hope you have the same Joy... Try it sometimes..
On another subject, today's weather was terrible. Very foggy and humid and raining. The temperature though is great. Go figure that..
My day was very simple ,went to work as usual. Nothing different but somehow it was great. My grandaughter keeps me going and I am about to eat a piece a cake that my dear husband had baked earlier today.. He makes very moist cakes, super delicious. Very Fattening but I do not care. I have learn to love myself and accept my weight gain as I am getting older.
I have a joke to tell you today, I was reading and it had me laughing so I hope that it those the same for you... here it goes.
GRANDMA GETS SOME ANSWERS
A sweet grandmother telephoned St. Joseph's Hospital. She timidly asked," Is it possible to speak to someone who can tell me how a patient is doing?"
The operator said," I'll be glad to help , dear. What's the name and the room number?"
The grandmother in her weak tremulous voice said, "Norma Findlay, Room 302."
The operator replied, "Let me place you on hold while I check with her nurse."
After a few minutes the operator returned and said, "Good news. Her nurse has told me that Norma is doing very well. Her blood pressure is fine. Her blood work just came back as normal and her Physician, Dr. Cohen, has scheduled her to be discharged Tuesday."
The grandmother said, "Thank you. That's wonderful! I was so worried! God bless you for the good news."
The operator replied, " You're more than welcome. Is Norma your daughter?"
The grandmother said ,"No ,I'm Norma Findlay in 302. No one tells me SH**!"
I found this joke in a bi-weekly publication in 'Our Town"..
PJ Thanks for the compliment. The pic was taken by my son. We were at Oceancity Maryland. WE were just enjoying one of God's greatest gift... The Beach....

Girls fun

Great good morning everyone. Hope that today is a great day for all of you.. Just give thanks to the lord for giving you another day and everything will be ok..
This picture was taken in my truck when I went to Va. This past week to visit my grandmother.. These little girls are our future and it was amazing to see how much they resemble the past. My granddaughters look like both of my daughters and my little niece looks like her mom.. Just like twins.
The great thing I found out is how wonderful it is to be given a second chance to be a mother again.. Fix what you could have done better. Not a lot of people get that concept. Grandmothers today are more important than back then. It's like we became surrogate moms overnight . But what can you do but be grateful that you are still here on this earth to partake of the up bringing of your grandchild..
I know that sometimes you get overwhelmed but somehow you did it back when you was a mom and you will find the strength now that you are a grandparent.
Speak to you later ..
Sylvia
The girls

upset Saturday
Hello everyone. Hope your Saturday was good. It was a very nice day in Pennsylvania...
Work was crazy.. I had not been there in a few days. As I told you guys yesterday I went to Virginia to see my grandma Ruby....
This is Grandma Ruby and my husband....
She has not been feeling good. This is how I feel today. I'm tired and drain. My grandaughter went with her mother. It's quiet here today. I was able to take a small nap...
My daughter made me so mad today that I had to pray for patience and just really stop bothering with her..

Memories
Hello everyone. Sorry it has been a couple of days that I have not been able to write. Not that I did not want to.
I wanted to say thank you to our Heavenly Father for granting us another day in this world.
My Grandma Ruby Is Almost 90 Years old
doesn't she look great???????
This woman you see right here is my grandama Ruby... She has been battling sicknesses for over 10 years. According to hospice they had given her 6 months to live.... That was about 6 years ago.. Although she is very ill, she still has the spirit of the Lord with her... It is very admirable to see someone of her age which is almost 90 still be around and be able to tell tales of back then.. It's nothing like listening to it from your very own family. I pray for her well being all the time ,but as you see she is a warrior and for what ever reason our heavenly father has blessed her to still be with us. I think it is truly a miracle that as the Dr.'s almost sign her death certificate 6 years ago God has other plans and he is the true decider on when your time is up on this earth.... Not knocking the medical proffession in anyway.
This week my husband and I went to go and see her. I hope that I am able to go and see her on a weekly basis before she departs this earth.. Although she would definetely be sadly miss she has had a long fight ....I could only hope that I am that strong when I become of age...
I heard her sing a song and frankly I have never heard her sing before.. It was call "Walk with Me Lord", I think that I am going to ask my husband who is the choir director of our church to sing that song for my grandmother even though she is in Virginia. I know she can hear it in her soul...
I pray Father thank you for allowing me to be here on this earth to see my family another day for we know that tommorow is not promise to us and those that we hold dearly are not promise to be here with us another day so we cherish the times that you do give us . We love you and embrace you and pray for our souls that we may have lived our lives abundantly and in your ways and not ours, that we may make you proud of this generation of struggling children of yours on this earth still trying to find their way home to you. We pray that you comfort all those that are sick and that are sick in their hearts , that they may find their way back to you before it is to late. That they may reeem themselves and accept jesus as their savior. I pray for all..... In Jesus name
Amen:::::

Women's Day AT Church
Hello everyone. Today is a special day. For those of you who do not know, it is breast cancer day. Even though this whole month is set aside for just that. We also have lung cancer. To me we should dedicated more months for cancer of all types period. We should educate ourselves and do a lot of prescreening to avoid what can be avoided... Cancer has killed so many people and it is very important to discuss this disease as much as possible... It kills fast and it also kills you slowly...
Today it was Women's Day at our church.. Our service started at 4 pm. Thanks to all that came to support your fellow sister. It was truly a blessing the message that was pass to me. It was all about Faith...
We all can relate to the fact that our faith gets tested often... Is how much faith we have that bring us out, by yourself you could have never done it.
This was New Life Faith Temple's 2nd Women's Day Service....
It was an honor to be part of it...
Have faith in the lord people... The rewards in itself are so worth it...
I'm going to leave you with this I read .
" Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.

Tranquility
Hello everyone. Hope all is well with all of you. My family is great so I'm at peace. This picture was taking while in the bus. As all you already know , I commute to work and for those of you who did not know, now you do. But anyhow this was what I woke up to after a quick nap.
Just this morning it was cold and raining. A very fall/winter day. Now the sight of beauty and peace is above me ... I'm staring out the window and looking at the clouds. Everything looks peaceful and tranquil....

Commuting

Hello everyone. Hope your day is good and you are out enjoying the weather. Here on pa the weather was crazy yesterday but today it's beautiful. We had a thunderstorm and in some areas hail but nothing to drastic.
I just want to say that most of my day was ok and it usually is like that until I get on the bus to go home. The commuter bus. You see I live in Pennsylvania but , there is no real jobs here do I travel to new York everyday. I therefore commute. It usually is a 2 hour commute but traffic gets bad and it could turn to 3 hours very easy... People are normally friendly, but there is always one in a bunch ... The good part of commuting is that you get to sleep those hours and the worst to me is that you trust someone else's driving to carry you back and forth...
I use to drive myself and it cost me a lot of money. I was barely bringing home anything so I started commuting.
There you have my drama. The other bad part is also depending on the driver to make good and bad decisions. It can add up to another two hours in commute .will continue my post later let me find out what this bus driver is doing now lollllll

A poem
An Empty Tomb Instead
They came to the quiet garden
In the early morning gloom,
And there in the shadowed darkness
They found an empty tomb.
They brought their scented spices
To anoint the hallowed dead,
But found, to their amazement,
The Living Lord instead.
Their hearts were heavy-laden
Bowed down with deep despair
But when they lifted tear-dimmed eyes,
LO, Jesus was standing there.
They thought all hope had ended
With Calavry's dying breath .
But they found a powerful Savior,
Triumphant over death!
On that wonderful Easter morning,
In a garden sweet with dew,
A world to save
To live and reign anew.
So oft in the midst of sorrows
When hope seems cold and dread,
with lifted eyes, we too may see
An empty tomb instead..

Coming to a conclusion
Good day everyone...
Hope your day was filled with love and grace . I am doing ok, but could always be better.. Financially I'm so in debt I sometimes do not know how I am coming out but, somehow by God's great mercy I do..
I today had to take off. My son, the baby in our family, who is 16 years of age, had to have eye surgery.
It made me realize that I am no longer needed like before. He went in with my husband and I waited outside. Although it might seem minor to most of you, my son has never had to have anything of this nature or any other done to him. I was concern and I thought he might be afraid. Never share a thought or a comment. Barely said how the surgery went and what did it feel like. So, I came to the conclusion that I was no longer needed as a mom.
He has always be a loner but, has share a lot of things with me along the way. I do not know if to feel happy about it or sad. It has really not hit me yet. He is our youngest of 4 and somehow I thought that I would be happy when he no longer needed me but, I guess there is always something that as a mother I want from my kids at no matter what age and that's to feel like they need me ...
Well my oldest moved out and I am happy for her. She has a duplex for her and my grandchild. She has come a long way in a short few months. I just wish that she makes wiser decisions but, she is one of those that have to learn the hard way.
My daughter in Virginia turned 21 today. And my 19 year old just got a job as an Asst. Store Manager. Very proud of her...
Today is Columbus Day......... Enjoy America and it's freedom

Joke for Today
This is my joke for today so enjoy.. It is short but to the point.
"Pharmacist"
A woman walks into a pharmacy and asks the pharmacist for some arsenic.
He asks," What for?"
She says, " I want to kill my husband."
He says," Sorry I can't do that."
She then reaches into her handbag and pulls out a photo of her husband in bed with the pharmacist's wife and hands it to him.
He looks at it and says,
" You didn't tell me you had a prescription!"
Just a little something to make you laugh today . This joke came out of the "Our Town" bi-weekly publication..
